“Parenthood” is an
NBC TV show based
on a popular movie
which starred Steve
Martin. This was a
special audition for me because the director, Mr. Schlamme, was a very important person behind the success of the TV show The West Wing. I knew I had to be really prepared to show off my acting skills.
One important lesson I’ve learned is to make a good impression because the people you meet as an actress know lots of other people in the industry. Sarah, who did casting for the movie All About Evil remembered my audition. When she was doing casting for Parenthood she gave me the chance to audition for Mr. Schlamme. Thanks Sarah!
Although I didn’t book the part I auditioned for, I did get a chance to be an extra in the pilot episode of Parenthood, which was filmed at Fairyland in Oakland.
In the picture above, I’m standing with my onscreen mom and dad at the entrance to Fairyland. I’m keeping an eye on that fox, just to make sure he hits his mark.
